Binary SMS Messages

With binary SMS messages user can transfer numerous types of content with text messages, for example sending ringtones, settings of the telephone system or WAP-Push.

Every binary SMS message has 140 bytes of data for usage and is divided into two separated parts ー the UDH or user data header and the message data itself. UDH determines the content which is being sent and informs mobile phones about the data type in a message.
